Civil education and Education for Democracy

 This book is addressed primarily to prepare students to become teachers, also to all teachers working for a democratic civic education through direct citizen training, and through the whole educational process in school It has been linked with the need to study civic education  and social subjects, processed appropriately for students of elementary and high school. We are in a transition situation, which began December 90 and continues today. As noted, there is no easily transferred directly into a new company or old elements of society do not disappear easily. New institutions and new social structures, the movement of population, emigration and immigration, the new market economy, rule, constitution etc., pose major problems in periods of transition. Regarding them, school, as noted in the book "Civic Education -" Education for Democracy "is a missionary institution in society that built structural and conscious gains in the civic formation of  individual. It is a more complete social micro- area in  which formed habits of life and work in groups, norms, attitudes and civic values. So, as such, it is the most important institution that carries and realized straightforward the aims of the society for young citizens education. It should provide the basic principles of individual civic education in democracy. Are exactly, social subjects and especially civic education that realize that better. They inform, encourage and training potential citizens, making them able to be competent and responsible participant in the governance of the country. Provision of accurate knowledge on democracy, democratic ideas, etc., through social skills in a society out of such a system of education is extremely important. While we walk in the XXI century, it is clear that the prevailing trends of social, economic, cultural and scientific institutions that have characterized the Western world for five centuries are rapidly evolve in new directions. In this way, we can give to young people a solid academic base and training integrus to live as in the present world and in the world of tomorrow and face the changes expected.

In these respects, social subjects, knowledge society, civic education, the texts of their programs should reflect these changes by changing the nature of knowledge and ways of providing a vision to create significant problems for humanity.
